Working in the Health Care field has many challenges that other fields do not experience. Staying in compliance with the various Governmental regulations such as HIPPA. The goal of all health care facilities is to embrace continuous quality improvement and ensure the best quality care is received. This behavior goes far beyond physicians and medical staff, everyone from the front to back office must comply with regulations and improvement efforts.
Working for a medical software company requires us to comply with government regulations being business associates in the health care field working with covered entities. An inclusion of business associates was added to the HIPPA law in 2013 to add more responsibility to business associates when handling protection health information (PHI) and electronic protected health information (EPHI). Knowing we have to deliver a high level of quality for our covered entities, the organization leaders created an extremely open and relaxed company culture. It is considered a medium size company in its market, with about 39 members including the CEO and President. They strongly believe in empowerment. Empowering employees helps to motivate their innovation and turn them into change agents. These organizational behaviors are developed through much strategic planning and trial and error. This paper will explain how culture, communication, authority, motivation, emotional quotient, and virtual elements to influence the organizational behavior.
Pluralism Culture
