Introduction
This report focuses on the HR practices that take place in the United States of America. In this team presentation my role was to collect and present data about the performance appraisal, recommendations for improvement of appraisal and overall conclusion of the presentation. As the research was conducted on performance appraisal the first question was what performance appraisal is: it is a systematic evaluation of an individual with respect to performance on the job and individual’s potential for development. (HR Wale, 2012).
USA uses basically uses
  * Self- evaluation methods and peer assessments (FeDee, 2012) they use peers or customers as the inputs in their appraisal process so as to know the performance level to how much of the goal they have attained.

They Mostly do   Annual performance Review at the starting till the end of the year     as that   appears to be their   standard( OCD,2012).
A new emerging approach that USA has used to for improving communication between supervisors and subordinates is the negotiated performance appraisal increasing employee productivity. Facilitator meets separately with the supervisor preparing three lists what employees do well, where employees have improved and what they still need to improve.( George W.,2011)
Then after conducting the research and collecting data about the performance appraisal systems that are being followed in the country I came up with a few suggestions in order for the appraisal to be more effective.

Recommendations

  * Rather than annual performance reviews, reviews should be done monthly so as to record the improvements taking place.

  * Allow more of employee participation in evaluation processes so as to improve job satisfaction and motivation.

  * Performance appraisals...
