Even though personal responsibility is up to the individual .It is important that time is managed properly to achieve success in all courses.However personal responsibility starts before the student is even in college.Personal responsibility starts from our younger days from starting at the home which our parents teach us how to take care of things around the house like our room for example. There are many opinions and ideas about what personal responsibility is. However, I believe that it is up to the individual to know what there job requires of them or the assignment needs. When there is a clear understanding of what the work week brings every week it makes it easier to manage other things in life. Family is very important and I strive to make sure that they are taken care of on a daily basis so they do not feel that they are not being neglected to the busy schedule during the week. While doing extracicular activities can be fun and relaxing there has to be a clear understanding if those activities are able to fit in the schedule without sacrificing time to do something that is a high priority task that needs to be done.
When it comes to course work there are quite a few things to take into consideration the most important factor is course work since that makes up for the most of your grade. The reason why its such important reason manage time is if the schedule for the week is not planned to the smallest detail and have time set aside to do class work some of the work may be rushed and might not get as high of grade if more time was set aside and the work could get done correctly with time to go over it and review before the assignment is turned in. When it comes to working with a group sometimes it is even more important in managing time because others are relying on you to meet up with them or do research and report your findings so they can be discussed among the group.
