In the United States of America, teens are allowed to start driving at the age of 15. This age is a little early for someone as careless as a teenage to begin driving. The driving age should be raised to 20 because accidents will be reduced. People are more mature at age 20 than at age 15. Since one is not allowed to vote until 18, one should not be able to get a drivers license until that age. Teens should have their learners permit for a period if two years so they can develop safer driving skills.
The age fifteen is not a legal age. Why should they be able to drive? They are not considered as adults who can take full responsibility, so how are they going to be responsible for themselves and the car? They would be still in school and still dependent on their guardians/parents. Teens should be able to drive when they are 18 years of age, who are out of school and are considered as an adult. It is absurd to even suggest that a 15 year old should be able to drive. Teenagers are more likely to get distracted by the radio, ipods, or cell phones than adults. It is scientifically proven that the human brain does not fully mature until at least the age of 20.
Since one is not allowed to vote until 18, one should not be able to get a drivers license until that age. If the government thinks you are mature enough to vote for leaders of this country, then teenagers should be mature enough to get a provisional driving permit. Raising

the price on getting a license, as well as stricter rules on the road and more expensive fines would help encourage responsible driving.
Teenagers should have a learners permit for two years before thinking about getting behind the wheel of a car. Having a learners permit for two years allows a future driver to gain more driving experience as well as knowledge in obeying road rules and knowing how to read signs.
