4. Write an essay about the human condition of the poem. Maximum of three pages, 12, Calibri, Double Space, Default Margin.
5. In essence, you are to write something like the introduction of the chapters of your book.
6. You are to apply a theory of reading a poem to all three poems you choose.
7. You may either write an essay about the entire group of poems, or individually.
8. Maximum of three page. Make sure to include textual evidences when you are trying to prove a point.
9. Below is a list of questions. You are to use this questions to guide you in writing your answer. They are not to be answered directl, as if in a quiz.
10. You may use external sources to further your point.
11. You are to choose only one theory to analyze all three poems. Ex: A Feminist Reading of Three Joi Barrios Poems.
12. On the paper I signed, the poems you submitted, handwrite an analysis of the poem line per line. Analyze, interpret, identify the figure of speech used, the tension (binary), symbolism.
13. When you say binary, that is to say the tension present in the line. For example:
You sling at the stars, I bedeck the Weeds

or Presona is here on earth while the mind of the addressed is somewhere else.
