Ecological Perspectives

Abstract
Pollution is a major issue with the ecological system today. Pollution is when mankind destroys or puts things into the earth such as air, soil, and water that is harmful for the earth. My research will focus on air, soil, water and noise pollution. Each one of these different types and causes of pollution is extremely important to why we have pollution problems. While describing what each issue is there will be the cause and an opinion based of each issue. There is also another issue which is noise pollution that will be researched. The four major issues within pollution are caused by man, in which will take a long process to even attempt to get better, but can be done with the help of all men. Pollution is a major issue that needs to be fixed. The research given helps the reader understand how important this issue is.

Ecological Issues with Pollution
Pollution is not a new major issue in the ecological system. In fact, pollution has been a problem since the appearance of our earliest ancestors (Draggan 2010). Increasing human populations have opened the door to more bacteria and disease. Draggan states that these epidemics were directly related to unsanitary conditions caused by human and animal wastes, and garbage. By the 1800s, people began to understand that unsanitary living conditions and water contamination contributed to disease epidemics (Draggan 2010). Water and air pollution in U.S. urban areas continued to increase well into the 20th century (Draggan 2010).
