Being professional is an important part of everyday life. Unfortunately, many people do not know what the definition of professional behavior is, much less how to incorporate it into their everyday lives. Technically speaking, professional behavior is characterized by or conforming to the technical or ethical standards of one's profession. Although every situation that one is faced with is different, there are general guidelines which ensure that professional behavior is maintained. People exhibiting professional behavior are always polite, considerate, articulate, and remain calm and rational under any circumstances.
An example of professional behavior in action which brought me about this determination is simple and started one busy night shift at a workplace years back in a nursing home with about 400 patients and dividing in four floors, which are, Alzheimer’s unit, dementia, psyches, and assistant care unit.
