Professional Development Plan
To be able to make or create a development plan on what is a definition of a leader; we must take into consideration the environment of the organization, the task that is assigned to the department to the preparation and personality of the employee. If you see the history of someone’s life it will show that he or he had met a leader like that person that at any given moment of your life to make the conditions and structure to follow them into making the task a reality. An organization needs these types of personalities in order to achieve the goals that are necessary to have a successful industry. A professional development plan documents the goals, required skill and competency development, and objectives a staff member will need to accomplish in order to support continuous improvement and career development ("Duke Human Resources", 2013).
In order to create an effective development plan we must take into severe consideration what identify human resources important to identify the necessary resources and skills to supporting the career of the member in the team and organizational goals. This refers to that analyzing different areas should be included to the person or persons who are being considered to carry out the work or tasks, in this case refers to managers, supervisors, among others.
According to Yukl (2013), the term leadership is a word taken from the common vocabulary and incorporated into the technical vocabulary of a scientific discipline without being precisely redefined. They are many definitions for this term. In a nutshell, leadership is known as the ability to motivate and influence others towards achieving company goals. Leadership is not easy; a good leader should have empathy, knowledge and skills. Also, a good leader has to have the ability of identify the different types of personalities among the group of work. This ability is key in the addressing of goals with it followers.
