The American Marketing Association is the largest professional marketing association in the United States.   According to the AMA website (2010), the association currently has more than 30,000 members, and is structured for individuals and organizations.   The American Marketing Association is designed for those employed in or studying about marketing.   Members can attend seminars, research resources, and network with other marketers.   The marketingpower.com website (2010) is a portal used to deliver marketing data, journals, articles, networking tools, career management, and workshop information.  
The best tool that the American Marketing Association offers for a student studying marketing is the resource library page on the website.   In this section on the website, there is a plethora of articles, journals, webcasts, dictionary, and more.   The component that is the most fascinating and would be most beneficial to veteran marketers is the articles on the latest marketing trends.   Each article can be reviewed by AMA members.   All members have the ability to post comments to guarantee the articles are relevant and clearly written.   The latest trends articles are constantly changing and will help keep a marketer knowledgeable in current marketing topics.
The career management section is a career resource that posts job openings, workshops, and boot camps.   A link is available to ask career questions to a marketing professional, Sheryl Swingley, an internship coordinator with Ball State University.   This particular link is most beneficial to current marketing students that will have questions such as: ‘How do I determine which section of marketing is right for me if I have not had experience in the marketing field?” (American Marketing Association, 2010, para.1)
