Within your role, you will be expected to work in partnership with other professionals; these can include trainers, different organizations and internal and external verifiers, to name a few. The teaching/trainer role requires you to do this in order to assist the learner to accomplish their needs. An example would be assessors are required to work with another assessor (internal or external) in order for the learner’s portfolio of evidence to be judged and marked for completion of the award.

The main role is to motivate your learners to develop their ability to learn. Your role is not just about training courses, your subject or preparing learners for assessment. Trainers need to be inspiring learners to change and develop their professional skills to the best of their ability. Your ultimate aim is to enable your learners to understand how to take responsibility for their own development. You can do this by planning and preparing training and learning activities that take account of the needs and well-being of individual learners as well as groups of learners. This would be to deliver training with a holistic approach. There are many aspects to the role of a trainer such as; Carry out diagnostic, this enables trainers to identify the needs and learning styles of the learners. Good and clear communication is important. Leaner’s need to know that they are able to communicate with you and understand what is expected of them. Having a well organized lesson plan will ensure a smooth flow of learning and allow learners to plan for the next task. ( Task A ref 1.1)
Your Responsibilities as a Trainer
