Through this reflective commentary report I will aim to demonstrate how experiences that I have had in the past may impact my Business with Marketing programme. Over the years I have been influenced by life lessons, personal lessons and through studying and school and college, but I do believe that the lesson of life is most valuable as it shapes you into the person you are today and manipulates your personality.
I was there for four years n learned how to become a strong member of a team and learn to give everyone a chance and not take them at face value, as this used to be a weakness of mine. However through working and life I have found I do have numerous strengths as I am a confident person, I enjoy interacting with people and use my full potential where possible. Additionally I find my weakness are essay-writing skills as I find it hard to get my point across on paper, in new situations I tend to become nervous, although these are really just opportunities for improvement. While at university I plan to take full advantage of all opportunities that arise to me, I would have to get involved in the student union on some form as this may show potential employers my enthusiasm to get involved in projects. Most importantly is achieving a strong grade in the course and completing the EDGE award.
Past experiences have taught me to give 100% in my work as you only get out what you but in. I learned this the hard way as while in secondary school I did not really try and was not interested, my grades reflected this and I was very disappointed in myself. Due to this I had to start off at the very bottom when it came to college, I started doing a first diploma in business, however from this I progressed to a BTEC national diploma and achieved three distinctions, I also studied level 5 in business administration.
