Executive Summary
Objective
To provide an analysis of the current in the induction & socialisation of new employees of the Carers Trust and provision of suggested solutions as a means of ensuring new employees are fully supported to carry out their activities.
Goals
To ensure that the Carers Trust “psychological contract” with new employees is delivered in a consistent and professional manner so that there is a seamless continuation of the aims & objectives of the trust delivered by a motivated and informed staff team.
Solution
The induction & socialisation of new employees will be formalised to ensure the necessary steps for these processes are delivered by an informed management team with clear objectives when employing new members of staff

The analysis of current procedures highlighted a a lack of formal planning for the induction of new employees which has resulted in demotivated employees unsure of specific outcomes expected from them. The dearth of a defined purpose for the new staff’s activities is detrimental to the operations of the organisation and the development of a motivated and committed staff team.
