Was the Tsarist regime modernising and improving life in Russia, or was the regime so bad that revolution was simply a matter of time?

ACTIVITY

Task 1 Firstly, use ‘save as’ to save this exercise into your own word file (your G: drive – History > Tsarist Russia).

Task 2 The list below is a completely random collection of facts and figures relating to Russia 1906-1914.

• To make use of them, you will have to first sort them into relevant and irrelevant information.

• After that, you will have to organise them (copy and paste) into broad categories (e.g. effectiveness of government).


Task 3 Then you will have to decide whether the categories need to be sub divided (e.g. government might be sub divided into effective and ineffective)

You might find it helpful to draw up a table to help you keep track of the information as you work with it.
