Problem Statement
You are an investor in Silver Bird Berhad since 2005, and felt let down as the company has misled you. In March 2012, the public came to know about accounting improprieties when the external auditors were unable to finalise the financial statements for year ended 31 October 2011 on time, which subsequently led to the issuance of a disclaimer audit opinion and legal actions initiated against the internal auditors, external auditors and the top management in August 2012.
