Being a musician and an engineer sometimes made it complicated to maintain a balance, but it also is interesting how one could complement the other. However the balance grew harder as I moved up the classes and eventually took a toll on my grades since the second year of my Engineering undergrad studies, courtesy my world tour with my band. As time went by, my ability to balance between these two augmented making my 300 and 400 level courses attain twice as better grades than my 200 level courses. An engineering background I believe provides me with commendable analytical ability and aptitude which is kernel in designing any entrepreneurial model. Academically, concepts like business environment, market research, financial procurements and allocations might not have been a part of my curriculum but my thesis on the cell phone application for my university, that I developed involved an amalgamation of marketing research with peripherals of survey, data collection, statistical analysis, qualitative and quantitative analysis. After I finished my major, I was hired by an International Gateway company Novotel Ltd where I work as a system engineer. My job description involves VOIP call provisioning, call routing and data communication. I would also like to mention that my office trained us on CCNA and I am currently studying to sit for the CISCO Certification Examination.
Having said that, now I am willing to take my career to a different height where I will be able to combine my aptitude, skill and kernel passion in an entrepreneurial sect which being the sole reason behind my interest on the Masters course in Lund University on Entrepreneurship. This course would enable me to take my career to a whole new dimension where I can incorporate my passion for music with business and eventually open up a music label in my country.
