Mission Statement
Organizational mission statements are critical due to them expressing the organization’s true identity and philosophy in tandem with establishing a brand image which the prospective clients and current clients will perceive as trustworthy. Kudler Fine Foods must formulate a new mission statement to emphasize and reflect organizational morals and values   The purpose of a mission statement is essentially to explain the underlying rationale for a company’s existence, and at the same time, inquire as to what a company’s function is in relation to how the company places itself within society (Pearce & Robinson, 2009).

Kudler Fine Foods current mission statement reads: “Kudler Fine Foods is committed to providing our customers with the finest selection of the very best foods and wines so that your culinary visions can come true” (Kudler Fine Foods Web Site, 2010). This mission statement was solid when Kudler Fine Foods was a new start-up organization with one small location. Now however, it is severely lacking in providing a clear organizational mission for management and employees to follow. Kudler Fine Foods needs to address its mission statement in a more refined, conscious effort involving the organization, employees, customers, and community it operates in.
A possible new mission statement could read: “Kudler Fine Foods is a dynamic leader in the quality food business. We aim to set the standard for excellence in the food retail industry through our mission driven focus. Our motto- People, Product, Community- relates to everyone, our vision reaches beyond the food retail market. Customer satisfaction, team member happiness and satisfaction return on investment, environmental awareness, and community support local and national...
