For my journal entry of a subordinate group, I plan on giving you a little information on Italian Americas. Italian Americans had started to migrate to America from 1876 to 1924 throughout those years a total of 4.5 million came over from 1901 to 1910 2 million people had came over to this country.
As I have been doing a little research on Italian Americans, I had learned that my family had migrated to this country back in 1880 with Great Grandmother Margaret Pascocello, when they had migrated over here they decided to reside in Manhattan for 30 years before moving to Staten Island, New York. The information that had given about my family history is from one of my Uncles that is now 101 years old and in which was his biggest remembers of My Great Grand Mother Margaret. There is also a newspaper interview with Margaret denying that she was in her 100’s for her age I have not been too successful on getting the whole article because of no one in the family remembering what newspaper the article was written for, still trying to find out so I can get full article to show my daughters and give them a little piece of...
