Legion of Mary is a community of non-geographical which includes common ideas, interests, loyalty and a sense of belonging. I have chosen this community because I am a member of this community for 3 years. I truly appreciated all the work from the members who has done to the community. However, one of the structures of being members in the community is to become an instrument of the Holy Spirit through a balanced program of prayer and works. The works that we do in this community is voluntary include door-to-door resident homes, parishioner visitation, prison ministry, visitation of the sick or aged, crowd contact, religious education, visiting the newly baptized, Pilgrim Virgin Statue rotations, and meeting the other spiritual needs of the parish community.
Though, Legionaries are under the guidance of a spiritual director and it is the largest apostolic organization of lay people in the Catholic Church, with well over 3 million active members. It has been approved by the last 6 Popes, and was endorsed by the Second Vatican Council. The main purpose of the Junior Legion of Mary community is to give glory to God through the blessing of its members and preparation of its members to enter the Senior Legion Community. Those under the age of 18 and interested in the Legion of Mary should attend meetings at a Junior Presidium. Upon reaching 18, they may then attend meetings at a senior presidium. The Legion is an extension of the heart and hands of the pastor. Our members meet once a week for prayer, planning and discussion in a family setting. Then they do one hour of definite work each week in pairs and under the guidance of their spiritual director. In addition to that we also We Perform Works as Assigned by our Spiritual Director, Such As:
