A= after reviewing the electronic reserve reading “ Superhero in the Cubicle” the technological advancements in communication that were discussed were Smartsheet from smartsheet.com, IBM Lotus connections by Big Blue, Web 2.0 Mashup by Kapow, Near Time, Technoloand, and Confluence from Atlssian.
Choose two communication types and compare and contrast them. How could these be used in your workplace?
A= the two communications I chose are IBM Lotus Connections and Confluence, both of these communications are collaborative web technology tools that allow communication by the use of social computing. Both of these communications are user friendly and they help users to make informed decisions. I think that this would be very useful to me in my workplace, in my workplace I need to have a communication here it keeps track of data which can be communicated thorough out a group of people that are interested in our company. The Confluence is used a lot by universities for their student information systems. This allows all the students from different universities to be able to communicate. This is a system that we would be able to use to communicate in different cities to see what they have to offer site seekers.
