The Sixth Sense
It was an exciting night for Dr. Malcolm Crowe, and his wife Anna. Dr. Crowe was presented with an award from the mayor on his hard works with being a child psychologists. Malcolm and his wife were celebrating at their house that night. They were dancing and having some drinks. Anna said to Malcolm “you have a gift to be strong in children’s situations where most adults would piss themselves off.” This quote is saying that Dr. Crowe has a way with children with making them feel as comfortable as possible through their hard times. Malcolm and his wife made their way to the bedroom, and when they walked in they noticed the curtain blowing by the window. Anna walked over to the window and the window was broken, and the phone was off the hook. Suddenly, behind Malcolm a noise was made, and they turned to notice a young man standing in only his underwear and crying out in their bathroom. The young man cried out and said “you don’t know so many things. Do you know why you’re afraid when you’re alone? Don’t you even remember your own patients? WHY DON’T YOU REMEMBER? YOU FAILED ME.” Dr. Crowe then realized who he was and said “Vincent Grey, very smart, and very unusually compassionate.” Vincent pulled out a gun and fired the shot at Malcolm, and then at himself.
On a sunny, but windy afternoon Dr. Crowe sit on a bench examining his noted for a new patient. He notices a small boy with big glasses, and no lens come out of the apartment. He follows the little boy. The boy runs into a Catholic church, and went and introduced himself to the boy. The boy’s name is Cole Sear, and he is 8 years old. Cole looks at Dr. Crowe and says “Are you a good doctor?” Dr. Crowe replies “I used to be.” Cole says “Am I going to see you again?” Dr. Crowe replies “If that’s ok with you.” Cole is very aware he has some issues he is dealing with, and he desperately needs help, but has a very hard time trusting people to tell them what is going on with him.
