Introduction

The Saudi Telecommunications Company (STC), consider as the incumbent telecommunication provider in Saudi Arabia. It offers expanding range of wired and wireless, voice and data facilities to customers in all major geographical regions in the Kingdom. STC currently has around 11 Million GSM and 4.5 Million landline subscribers.

To manage this huge number of subscriber over wide geographical area exceeding 1.5 million square kilometer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, STC executed one of the most significant GIS project in the Kingdom.

That project started with the implementation of so called TEP 6 "Telephone Expansion Project number 6" and it incorporated network data conversion of more than 40,000 network sheets.
