1. How does your diet compare to the recommendations you received from the Food Guide Pyramid? How many servings from each food group did you consume?
Compared to the recommendations I received from the Food Guide Pyramid, my diet is significantly below for milk, meat and beans, vegetables, and fruits. I consumed slightly more than recommended for grains. My milk intake was 1.5 cups, meat and beans were 5.7 oz, vegetables were 2 cups, fruits were 0.1 cups, and grains were 9.6oz.
2. How might you modify your diet to get the recommended servings for each food group? What are some nutrient-rich foods that you could add to your daily diet?
I can modify my diet to get the recommended servings for each food group by reducing my grain intake, and adding more fruits and vegetables. I love raw vegetables and fruits. I can add these to my diet to make it more nutritious and balanced.
