1.1 The duties and responsibilities of my own work role are to ensure that all of my training is up to date, including training on all equipment that I use on a daily basis. That I keep up-to-date with all of the policies and procedures in the work place. To work on my own initiative and as part of a team to ensure the safety of those around me. To meet the needs of my patients on an individual basis. To attend meeting, appraisals and the like. To communicate with relatives on a professional basis. To ensure I arrive at work on time and to be prepared.
1.2 Expectations about my own work role as expressed in relevant standards would be to become a valued member of staff, to be reliable in my role and build a good relationship with my patients, their relatives and my colleagues. To make patients aware of risks and to supervise to reduce any risks / injuries that may arise. To reflect upon work I carry out and ensure it is with best practices. Ensure consistency on a daily basis.
Communicate with patients with regard to their development. Safeguarding patients at all times and promote the welfare of each patient.

2.1 The importance of reflective practice in continuously improving the quality of service provided is to ensure that are high and stay at a consistently high standard.
I need to make myself aware of any changes and act upon them. Ensure that all individual patients are catered for. Take on board opinions of others, their cultures and attitudes, therefore enabling high levels of understanding from all parties involved. If I receive negative comments I can review and /or change my practices, especially with the help of others.
2.2 Demonstrating the ability to reflect on practice is done on a day to day basis. It could be during supervision whereby an incident has taken place and can be discussed as a way forward: “How could I do...
