Outcome 1 Understand working relationships in social care settings

Working
relationships are based on formal policies and procedures and agreed ways of working; these are bound by contracts of employment and have codes of practice to be followed – working relationships are professional based. Your responsibility as a support worker is to deliver very high standard services to individuals. !his includes supporting people with everyday living e.g. personal car" shopping" cooking.
Personal
relationships are based on emotions and are informal. In personal relationships you often share support between each other and feelings and thoughts as you can be who you are with family or friends. You can choose who you have a personal relationship with. personal relationships involve socialising together outside of work.1.Working relationships are different to other forms of relationships because the relationship forms a particular non'personal purpose to achieve tasks (coordinate roles .) person*s job description and the line managements that enlist in work settings often define these. !here are a lot of different types of relationship in the workplace e.g. employer(employees" relationships with other colleagues" service user(staff relationship*s " staff relationship*s with professionals e.g. doctors" nurses" occupational therapists

2.1 It is important to adhere to the agreed scope of the job role as this sets out boundaries in your job role" enables you to know your role and responsibilities.
