Outcome 1 Be able to define the statutory and workplace health and safety requirements for the organisation |
1.1 | Analyse the structure of the organisation relative to health and safety requirements for the organisation. The ultimate responsibility for Health, Safety, Security and Environmental (HSSE) within AMEC Power and Process (PPE) Europe rests with the Chief Executive and the PLC Board, the HSSE policy is set by the board and authorised by the Chief Executive. AMEC procedure: HSSE Responsibilities within PPE (AMEC-4-BMP-004-01-2) sets out the HSSE responsibilities for each appropriate role within the business from President to Designers. Responsibilities for HSSE Advisors are set out on Page 6 of this document. Within my business unit AMEC Transmission and Distribution we have a Corporate HSSE Manager who is part of the AMEC T& D Management and reports to board level. Below him sits an AMEC HSSE Manager for the Energy Alliance of which I am part of at present, there are 4 HSSE Advisors including myself working for him. |
