Welcome to the module, Introduction to Legal writing. The purpose of this module is to introduce you to the important elements of legal writing. This module will show the fundamentals of good written English with detailed importance on the way the language is used in legal writing. We hope you find this module fascinating and beneficial in your future career.

Module Summary
This module will show you the essential skills necessary to be a successful lawyer. The ability to use language, orally and in writing is one of the fundamental ‘tools of the trade’ for a lawyer (Legal Skills chap 10 pg40), it is also vital for a lawyer to be able to write a clear concise essay keeping to the word limit. This module will teach you exactly how to do that.
