For the last few months, I have been working on a project scope to enhance the information management system for Club IT. At the request of Lisa Tejada and Ruben Keys the owners of the club, they wanted me to identify areas in their business model that needed improvement, and look for solutions that incorporates the latest business technology for a small business like Club IT. This plan must be cost effective and still have room for growth as the business grows as well.
Organization and Demographic Information
When I first met Lisa Tejada and Ruben Keys the owners of Club IT they expressed to me that that wanted a club that gave customers and staff s sense of community while inside the establishment. They both graduated school with degrees in Business Administration and have both spent time in the nightclub industry learning how the industry works from the inside. Their mission statement: "We, Ruben and Lisa, offer you live music, DJ's, dance space, and refreshments that suit your lifestyle. You are our friends, and we seek to build a community that meets regularly at Club IT (Rainer & Turban, Student Companion Website). They both knew that this business venture would not be easy but they believed their concept was fresh, and being adjacent to other businesses would help them attract the clientele that they wanted to services. When I look at Club IT, I see a hybrid nightclub that can be visited anytime of the day and for any occasion as well.
Lisa Tejada and Ruben Keys just finished remolding the club; they expanded the club space by 6,000 sq. feet which includes a 600 sq. feet dancing floor, 220 seats for customers, a kitchen that for appetizers and a four station bar that severs the latest drinks. All these new features are aimed to attract the younger business professionals, college students, business travelers and tourist who come to visits the area.
