Baderman Island, also known as a slice of paradise where vacationers can relax, and organizations can host a business retreat. Baderman island is a large island with many amenities to appease all walks of life. Keeping vacationers and business people content takes many employees, and with the combination of employees and guests, many moral and ethical issues must be thought of on a daily basis.
Baderman Island is a popular resort year around because of the nice weather in the area, which means vacationers and organizations can enjoy all of the islands amenities year around. There are three hotels which are all built to attract various people. The amenities include three hotels, a convention center, tennis courts, a golf course, hiking trails, horseback riding, a botanical garden, a lighthouse, jet ski rentals, boat rentals, scuba diving, snorkeling, a public beach, five secluded beaches, a recreation center, an art gallery, a spa, and all the fine dining and shopping one could ever want. This island is true paradise for any person looking to take a much needed retreat.
Baderman Island is surrounded by the beautiful Kelsey River, and is located just 12 miles west of Kelsey. Baderman Island did not become an Island until 2001, and was named after the Baderman family who bought 2,600 acres of farmland surrounding the Kelsey River in 1923. The Baderman family emigrated from Germany in 1922, and ten years later purchased a lighthouse which was going to be demolished. The lighthouse was transferred to an island and named after the Baderman's home in Germany: Baderman Neustadt. In 1956 the Baderman family built a new home approximately one mile from the lighthouse, and the new mansion was built on what is now called Baderman Hill.
