Every young man and woman in this society is subject to pass by the circumstances and challenges of his/her age. In a society with its current situations and problematic matters, the utilization of youth and its training towards a greater end of his faculties is the greatest social imbroglio. Crime is slowly but surely starting to become a popular habit among many young people today. More and more young people engage themselves into criminal activities as means of survival, way of getting a quick buck due to the high increase of unemployment or simply because there is not much to do when idle so they turn to crime as a source of fun as well. There is a growing concern amongst peer’s and societies that the high increase in crime will cause serious problems, particularly, Broken lives both for the perpetrator and victim, broken societies, families, and worse a country if this is not reduced or stopped. As a result many of those affected (mostly victims) are saying that there should be more strict laws and punishments for crime as a whole and delinquencies. This essay will argue that not necessarily all but most youths engage themselves in criminal activities when idle among many other supportive reasons why they commit crime. True it cannot be completely stopped but this sort of behavior can be solved and reduced slowly but surely. Firstly, it will explain why most youths engage themselves into criminal behavior when they are idle. Than, it will further talk about other influences of such criminal behavior that youths are influenced with, followed by ways and means it can be solved or at most prevented.
